Powerband Press was founded in 2002 by Craig and Lisa Elliott to create children's books about subjects that children are actually interested in. After watching their two boys, Adam and Wesley, wear the tires off their hot wheels and constantly ask Dad for a ride in his race cars, it became clear what a good subject might be. And Powerband Press was born.

The "Racer Buddies" series was designed in conjunction with NASCAR and The International Speedway Corporation to deliver books that incorporate quality early learning themes and introduce stock car racing concepts via very high quality graphics, production and entertaining story-lines.

Teaming up with Bill Harper, a nationally recognized automobile cartoonist and Dale Engelbert, the managing director of The Princeton Media Group and co-artistic director on the project, the book series project took shape and has been launched across the United States. Look forward to more in the "Racer Buddies" series as well as other books from Powerband Press.
